Being an aesthete and having unconditional love for neutrals always has me exploring new ways to create enchanting tablescapes. One thing that always plays an important part in all my planning is repurposing. I firmly believe that an active imagination can turn water to wine. So, applying creativity and reusing articles like glassware as votives is something that gives me immense joy. Because not only does it look absolutely gorgeous but it is also very easy on the pocket.

Metal and glass are an absolute match made in heaven when it comes to sustainable decor. Throw in some aged vintage wood into the mix and you have a total winner. Another thing that can make any tablescape special and immediately set it apart is using unique heirlooms or hand me down pieces. Like in this case I have used the brass tapered candle stand that belonged to my great grandmother. I love the aged rustic look it lends to the table.

And lastly using a longer central axis i.e. the centre of the table as a guide and decorating around that makes it very efficient and saves time in setting the table. Having everything laid out prior to starting the layout is also another thing I picked up along the way. Here I have used a simple jute runner as my main central line and worked on from there.

And that’s about it Easy – Peasy huh! So next time you have guests over for a festive dinner you know exactly what you need and how to go about it. If not, you can always come back here and take a look!
